Description

We have two main projects:

1) We support the over 60s to afford a rescue pet companion - tackling loneliness for the individual and homelessness for the animal. This project is UK wide

2) We have a Community Space project, where we offer free activities for the over 60s and drop in times for the whole community (of any age) to pop in for a cuppa and a chat and meet our Companionship Dogs! This project is called 'Companionship in the Community' and is currently based in Glasgow and Troon (Scotland).

To date, our work has been recognised in the following ways: Recipient of the Prime Minister's Point of Light Award (2015) International Fund for Animal Welfare 'Community Award' Winner (2016) Pet Plan & Association of Cats and Dogs Charity Award Finalist (2017) Amazing Contribution to Community Award, Winner (2019) Pioneering Project, SCVO Charity Awards, Finalist (2019) Celebrating Communities, SCVO Charity Awards, Winner (2019)
